Bebel Gilberto's New Album on Ziriguiboom/Six Degrees
Scheduled for release on June 8, the latest from Bebel is already causing quite a stir! Gilberto reveals herself as an artist with a sound and voice all her own. A truly international affair, Bebel Gilberto was recorded in New York, London, (with an entire string section!) Salvador (Bahia) and Rio de Janeiro.
Collaborators include: producer Marius de Vries (Madonna, Björk, Annie Lennox); songwriters Carlinhos Brown, Daniel Jobim and Pedro Baby; and Japanese guitarist Masaharu Shimizu.

Sun, May 9, 2004 - 9:27 PMcarlinhos brown the omelette man!! it will be nice to hear what c's been up to. i hope that this bebel record is a bit more modern than "tanto..." that album was too straight for me. i'm not the biggest bossa nova fan, i'm much more into samba (i prefer "songs from the tin" by da lata.) she's a good singer though, and i like to see what she's up to.
