"A dance-floor-filling salute to the tough-bumpin' sound of the Meters and James Brown's JBs, where go-to vocalist Alice Russell serves as Holland's Vicki Anderson in stylishly soulful fashion."
NOW MAGAZINE (FIVE STAR REVIEW)

"Nearly perfect"
XLR8R

"Furthering the cause and pushing the funk to new heights"
BPM

“Where the true madness is going down.... you’d best advised not to miss out”

Pushin On is the second album from Quantic’s live band Quantic Soul Orchestra and the first to be domestically released on Ubiquity. It follows hot on the heels of the widely acclaimed Quantic album Mishaps Happening.

"Putting something back" is Will Holland’s reason for starting The Quantic Soul Orchestra. After releasing electronic/studio-based albums as Quantic he wanted to work on a strictly live project, to “put the funk back in it”, and to pay homage to a genre that continues to heavily influence his releases. QSO is his chance to record and produce an album with creative and like minded musicians. The Orchestra make killer funk with enough bottom-end to burn any dance floor, and the album features several tracks with the super powerful vocals of Alice Russell. In the USA Quantic’s Mishaps Happening album ended up in many “Best of” lists for 2004, tracks were featured on CSI Miami, the Pepsi iTunes ad campaign (during Super Bowl), and was given thumbs up by everyone from Vibe to XLR8R. QSO have played The Big Chill, Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, and many other festivals in Europe - Quantic Soul Orchestra recently performed in Toronto at Harbourfront's Beats, Breaks and Culture Festival.

They changed it then, I originally copy and pasted that info from their site.

I would call the venue and promoter to make sure which one is correct.

Did you go? I'm surprised how little support there is for this style of music in SF. Most people didn't know who he was, and a lot of them bailed after the hip-hop's greatest hits stopped.

SF seems to be narrowing it's scope of music scenes these days.
